Welcome to getrent.homes (the “Platform”). These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, applications, and services. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Platform. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
2. Our role as a marketplace
getrent.homes is a marketplace that connects hosts who list accommodation with guests who wish to book it. Unless stated otherwise, we are not a party to any rental agreement between hosts and guests, do not own or manage listed properties, and act as an intermediary that facilitates bookings and payments. The host is solely responsible for their listing and the accommodation provided.
3. Bookings and payments
When you book a property, you agree to pay the total price shown, including the nightly rate, applicable fees, and taxes. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers, and by booking you authorize the relevant charges. A confirmed booking creates a direct agreement between the guest and the host, subject to the host’s house rules and the cancellation policy shown at the time of booking.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations and refunds are governed by the cancellation policy displayed on the listing at the time of booking. Refund eligibility depends on that policy and on when the cancellation is made. We may facilitate refunds on behalf of hosts but do not guarantee any particular outcome where the parties disagree.
5. Host responsibilities
Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, for holding any licences or permits required by local law, for meeting applicable health and safety standards, and for honouring confirmed bookings. Hosts must not discriminate against guests in violation of applicable law.
6. Guest responsibilities
Guests must use accommodations responsibly, respect the host’s house rules, leave the property in the condition in which it was found (allowing for reasonable wear), and are liable for any damage they cause during a stay.
7. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, to post false, misleading, or fraudulent content, to circumvent our fees, to interfere with the operation of the Platform, or to infringe the rights of others. We may suspend or remove content and accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you submit but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use that content to operate and promote the Platform. All Platform software, branding, and materials remain our property or that of our licensors.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of hosts or guests. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or where required to protect the Platform, its users, or comply with law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform or by other reasonable means. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law and contact
